SKIDMARKZ (founded - 2002) - Team Kickin' Asphalt's current speed record is 17.864, set at the Omaha 4-Play December 2004 tournament. Dogs racing on Kickin' Asphalt include Rippy, Jester, Belle, and Chloe.
Multi-breed Team Peelin' Out's current speed record is 18.21, set at the Hawkeye Hustler's July 2004 Tournament. Dogs racing on Peelin' Out included Rippy, Jester, Chloe, and Trace.
Skidmarkz' racing mantra: wear ear plugs, relax, enjoy your teammates, kick some tail on the mats, and don't forget the band-aids! The Skidmarkz Team is very proud of our 25 dogs; we currently race with eight different breeds, including a whole bunch of mixes, and over half are rescues or rehomed dogs. Our dogs are pets first and athletes second, but we pride ourselves on running competitively with all of our lineups, always finding a place for the slower dogs, and enjoy nothing better than races won or lost by a whisker!

Practice Info
We practice at the McBranin's new training facility west of Iowa City at 5:00 on Sundays. Members check this page or the email list for "no practice" notices. There's usually also a practice on Wednesday evenings; check before coming.
The McBranin's building is done! Click here to see how it progressed and how it looks now. Contact Steve or Jayne for information on renting the building.
New Skidz members are by invitation only and must have a current member sponsor. However, if you are interested in flyball, please contact us to find out when you can observe a practice, for information on flyball classes (below), or to find out about attending local flyball tournaments.
We are currently teaching beginning and intermediate flyball classes. Check out our Training page for more information.
